I just got finished running thru the malware forum and scanning my computer to make sure it is clean. It is. I have no bugs in the system but I am having a big problem. My system is freezing and hanging up constantly. It takes forever to do simple tasks that should take just minutes. For instance, if I were to go and click on the my computer icon on my desktop, it would open a window. The window would be empty though except for a flashlight looking for the contents. Finall after anywhere from 5-15 minutes it will populate the window with the contents (hard drives, control panel, etc...) It took me 2 1/2 hours to run a program that should have taken about fifteen minutes while I was scanning for malware. I ran MGTools....it took that long to complete. It would run a little bit and then stop. During this I opened the task manager (finally got it open after about 5 minutes). I noticed on the process tab that the last process listed was system idle process. It was at 97 or so. The cpu% was about 3. When the system runs the CPU% goes up and the system idle process goes down. This is normal, but why is the system getting stuck so that the system idle process is at 97 when a process has been initiated and a program is running (or supposed to be)? Can you help? If you want the link to the getsysteminfo log I can send you the link to take you to the results page. It is a link not an actuall log that I have.

I can post the link to the scan I did if you want to look at it or if not I have already removed malwarebytes and also Pure at the request of the kaspersky people. I have not reinstalled it yet, but that seems to have solved my problem possible. I will post more after I have reinstalled and had time to evaluate what the system is doing.

After reinstalling Pure yesterday and running it I am currently problem free. I am not sure what Pure was doing that was causing the system to freeze but whatever it was it has stopped since uninstalling the program. As soon as it was removed the computer worked perfectly, and has not had any problems since. I will update this forum if I start having any more problems with Pure, but for now it seems to working fine and my computer is malware and problem free. Thanks to everyone here that helped me.
