Is Microsoft building a new browser for win 10?

Why not? Current browser has tabs, add-ons, etc and IE, regardless of what people say, comes out in top in security time and time again. Yes, there are more secure browsers but not the mainstream, well known ones as far as security. But IE itself is ugly and not as friendly for me but if they get it right, I would use it.

 

I think that all the browsers look the same, items IE had first are in the other browsers and vice versa, happens as we all like things to look the same so devs are damned if they change something (Metro) and damned if they don't.

Mozilla a few years back had some superb looking demo GUIs for Fx but never released any versions.

Think some of the stories about this next browser, skip a tab over that what many are saying will be the new browser in Win10 may not be for a while, I don't think MSFT will wish to rush and depending on when Win10 is released is when we will see a new browser or not, so say first half this year poss Q1/2 then no, if Win10 is released Q3/4 then yes.

 

If they are smart, they will. Changing the name alone would do wonders for them, I think. There are many that just won't use IE because it's IE.
