I'm really having a hard time with my PC right now. I used to kxvo.exe on my pc but I somehow manged to get rid of it. Or so it thought. I think it's back. I read some of the threads about kxvo and I'm having a hard time understanding it. What's happening is:

    1) Whenever I try to run a program, it hangs.
    2) I try to run any messenger service like Yahoo messenger or MSN messenger and it won't run.
    3) I tired running avast! my resident anti-virus, I couldn't get past the memory test. It hangs.
    4) I try to view my folders and when I select view hidden files, it reverts back to hiding it.
    5) I saw this message after rebooting my PC fro the nth time gvsqikes.cmd and it says something like access is denied.
    6) I tired running HJT and it hangs
    7) When I try closing programs that are not responding, a message box will appear saying rundll32.exe is not responding.

I not good at fixing stuff like this. I hope somebody can help me.

Thank you for your help. I will get back to you as soon as I'm finished with the instructions. I'm sorry if it's taking some time. The thing keeps on freezing programs so I can't hardly make things work.

    Thank you for your patience.

Hi, I was trying to follow the instructions in the READ AND RUN ME FIRST Malware removal guide but it seems the virus is giving me problems. I couldn't even get past the scanning of Super Antispyware because it kills the program. I checked it at the processes tab at the task manager and all I can see are zeros in all processes other than the system idle process which is always 99. Any program I try to use it hangs. I even had to boot my computer twice because I couldn't get past the log in page of windows. I don't know what to do anymore. Can you help me?

Please try the below doing the below (that is if you can at least get the SUPERAntiSpyware to start.

    • Run SuperAntiSpyware
    • **** Important - Get new updates if you can
    • In SUPERAntiSpyware under Configuration and Preferences, click the Preferences button.
    • Click the Scanning Control tab.
    • Under Scanner Options uncheck the below two options
      • Use Kernel Direct File Access (recommended)
      • Use Kernel Direct Registry Access (recommended)
    • Then try doing a new full scan and tell me if it still crashes.
If the above does not work, just continue on with all of the other instructions in the READ ME. Skip anything else that does not appear to work but you must try everything and report what happens when you have problems. Note that sometimes when you have a problem running a scan, using safe boot mode instead of normal boot mode to run the scan could work.

Also note, that if any other tools like Malwarebytes, Spybot, ComboFix windup running okay, you can consider going back and trying SAS again since it may work afterwards.
