Is my plan okay?

I have a lot of problems with my pc, minor glitches that are more of an annoyance than anything drastic. Failure to start the OS upon startup is one, the occasional blue screen etc.

I am going to have the shop put in another hard drive, and reload my OS into the new drive. Set the bios to go there first. Then the OS should be okay, and all the junk we have on the C drive won't affect it.

Then we can have a hard drive for OS only(and storage of songs and movies - backups etc.) while all the games, internet browsers, media players and other junk works from another drive.

    any comments?

Good idea... and I do the same thing to some extent myself... except I use different partitions, as I have but one hard drive. If something should happen and you need to format, you won't lose what's on the other hard drive... always a good idea. I might even partition the drives off to further seperate things... which would mean even less hassle in the event of a format.

Hi, I have 2 hard drives but also separate the program files on one partition from the actual OS. It makes imaging easier as the OS partition is only about 4 mess.

I keep the image on the 2 drive. peace Mal
