Is Openload.co Still Dangerous?

I saw this website mentioned on another forum, signed up for an Openload account, and began using it. THEN (smart, Jesse, smart), I Googled it, and found that it's a source of malware that crypto-hijacks your system. I haven't had any problems so far, and an AdwCleaner scan I just ran doesn't seem to have found anything serious, so should I be worried, or is the site no longer infected?

    Scan your PC with Malwarebytes.

Add a no-coin (block) list to your browser adblocker, example.

    How do I do that?

Thanks. Have managed to do that now. Will that make the site safe to use, or would it still be dangerous? Using it hasn't so far affected my computer in any way, and both Malwarebytes and AdwCleaner found nothing.

I don't know, it may block the site completely or just block the script(s).

From what I think I understand, these mining scripts are only triggered after a visit to an infected site and exit when the browser is closed, excessive CPU usage by the browser is the main (only?) indicator - I don't think that any file traces are left for the AV/AM software to detect.

Hm... When I was on the site, the CPU didn't seem to act up. No slowing down, no noise. Everything seemed to run smoothly. It's supposed to be a dangerous site, and yet ya can get a free player for it from the Microsoft Store. So confusing.

It's unlikely the player uses a coin miner - though not impossible. It's very likely that the malicious scripts are either targeted at specific browsers, or that they're randomly placed, affecting only a small % of visitors.

Then I guess I'm lucky not to be in that %. Thanks for your help.
