Is Smart File Advisor Installed Or Not?

The newest version of Alcohol 50% forces the install of Smart File Advisor. After reading some pretty nasty affects it can have on your system and file associations, I tried to uninstall it. The strange thing is, I can't find any traces of it (even though the install was checked/grayed out as mandatory). I've searched Smart File Advisor, FileFacts and sfa.exe in my installed programs, right click menu, start up, msconfig, task scheduler, start menu, running processes, all my program directories and the registry. I'm talking ghost town here!

The only reference I can find anywhere on my system are the following two registry entries:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Associations
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Associations

The only reference in both locations points to this entry: Application > REG_SZ > http://www.filefacts.net/redirect.php?ext=%

So should I just delete that one registry file in both locations and that's it? Or should I keep it and clear out the FileFacts portion of the field? And did I miss anything as far as getting it completely removed? Seems strange it would install itself without actually doing anything.

The installer doesn't write any files other than those in:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Alcohol Soft
    C:\ProgramData\Alcohol Soft

In fact there's no uninstall entry for Alcohol 52%
To uninstall you need to go to:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Alcohol Soft\Alcohol 52\uninst.exe

The only registry entries written, not directly related to Alcohol 52%, are the two you found (which don't work in the way intended).

Thanks for the info. It is very peculiar, as the program's behavior seems quite erratic. Alcohol forces you to install it, but then does not seem to actually do it. My research shows that the install directory for the extra bloatware is typical located at C:\Program Files\Smart File Advisor (with several other accompanying registry entries). Yet I'm not finding anything relating to Smart File Advisor on my computer anywhere. And most people say it's a pretty intrusive app that have dealt with it (going back almost a decade since it started being included with Alcohol). Is that not strange that it seems to vanish after installing?
