We (wife and me) just ran a Malwarebytes scan on her computer. It found 780 suspicous items. We want to delete these items. The program says "delete selected". Question: is there a "select all" function? Selecting 780 items with a checkmark is a laborius process. Is there a quicker way?

Are you not able to just right click on one of the entries and then "select all" ?

hmmm...never thought about the right click option. Will try it next time we run the scan.

Also, this is the second scan in 3 days where Mbam has found hundreds of potential threats. We're running the paid Pro version, which means the background program is running constantly. I find it hard to believe Mbam found that many real threats. Any idea what might be going on here?

This is why we reccommend going thru the FULL procedures. There may be something that MBAM doesn't quite have the power to hit on, but something else would. After users have removed items with MBAM we often have to dig deeper and find what else remains...

"Dig deeper" as in, another program? I have lots of anti-virus and malware utilities I saved from previous virus/malware search and destroy episodes. I never use them without guidance from websites like this one.

I'm wondering if this has anything to do with the fact that Malwarebytes refuses to auto update the database or run a daily scan, which I set it up to do. We have to do both manually, which is getting old. MSE is also running and it does do a daily scan/update.

    Your thoughts/suggestions appreciated.

Reading all the material connected with the link makes me tired. I've been down this road 3 or 4 times. I'm not anxious to do it again. I think I'll wait until the computer starts acting like it has a virus before taking action. Appreciate your help. I may be back.

Did the right click and select all work??

Just ran another scan. It didn't find any problems so I still can't answer the question about the right click. I'm glad to see it not finding any problems but I have to wonder about the two previous scans where each scan found many hundreds of potential threats. ???

If the next scan finds anything I'll let you know about the right click. Thanks.
