Is There A Mobo Which Allows 4 Sticks Of DDR At The Same Time?

I'll probably be buying my motherboard from this site - http://www.ebuyer.com/

I was just wondering if there is a mobo on there (or anywhere else) that will allow me to add 4 sticks of DDR RAM at the same time.

I only ask because I have two sticks of 512mb DDR RAM and two sticks of 256mb DDR RAM and I want to have 1.5gb in total on my PC.

Yes there are several mobos out there that let you run 4 sticks of ddr. I use an AsRock mobo and i like it really well. What socket type do you need and i'll see if i can find you a good one.

Check this mobo out and tell me what you think.

It has the dual channel ddr like you wanted and it also has agp as well as pci-express. so if you have an agp card but want to upgrade to pci-express someday, you won't have to buy a whole new mobo.

 

Thanks, that looks good and within my price range but are you sure it can handle 4 sticks of "DDR" at the same time?

I only ask because it says:

"Supported RAM Technology: DDR SDRAM, DDR II SDRAM"

Doesn't this mean I can either have 2 sticks of DDR or 2 sticks of DDR II installed at the same time?

Sorry, here is the mobo that I meant to show you.

It's DDR 2 but it's worth it and you can have 4 sticks up to a maximum of 4GB of memory.

 

your ram will only go as fast as the slowest RAM on your machine FYI
