Is There An Alternative To Itunes For Syncing Podcasts To An Ipod Nano?

I prefer to listen to podcasts on my iPod rather than my phone, but when I use iTunes to sync podcasts, I often find years old episodes I've already listened to now loaded to my iPod. On occasion, new episodes are not loaded. Is there an alternative to iTunes for loading podcasts onto my iPod? It does not have to also allow me to sync music, as iTunes if fine for that.

 

I use the free version of https://www.easeus.com/phone-transfer/ to copy movies to my iPhone, maybe it will work for you. The free version is limited to 20 files a day.

 

Not quite what I'm looking for as I would still have to use iTunes to download the podcasts, and then transfer them to the iPod. I want a program - if one exists - that will both download podcasts (but only the new episodes) and then sync them to the iPod.

 

Didn't understand the question when you stated

I do not have iTunes installed and use that software on my PC, so that is an alternative, I just wasn't sure if it would work on all apple devices.
Your question is more about finding a podcast downloader?

 

Yes, I guess I did not make that clear. An app that will download podcasts that I can also use to sync them onto the iPod.
