Is ThinkPoint legit? It's screwing me up

I'm sure I did not download ThinkPoint, but there it is on my laptop (Vista Home) and interfering with my computer operation. It says I have a virus or other malware, and won't let me get onto the Internet. But to remove the malware, it says I have to buy the "full version" It also has an annoying popup which appears every few minutes. I have been able to run SuperAntispyware, MSE, MalwareBytes and ccleaner. None found any malware. I also am able to send and receive email. How do I get rid of this app--and any malware if there is any? Thanks for your help!

 

I suggest going to Malware section of forums http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=35407 and do all the scans and post all the logs they ask in the malware section of forums.

My computer is back to normal. I was following the instructions in the malware removal guide and during House Cleaning Guide I suddenly noticed that the annoying ThinkPoint popup was not appearing anymore. I'm not sure when this began. So I tried going online and found that everything is okay now. Thanks so much to Silas and Chaslang! Question:
Should I continue with the malware removal steps?

YES you should COMPLETELY follow ALL malware removal steps in our Malware section, including posting your scan results in the Malware forum, to be sure your system is completely clean, and doesn't have any hiding bad guys.

Sorry didn't get to you sooner. But yes even tho things are better now doesn't mean you should stop running and posting the logs in the malware section. They can see "behind the scenes" on your computer and get yourself fully back to safe and proper running. Many times people say oh thanks its working.. Yet days later or soon they come back and re do the scans and post the logs.. SO please finish
