Well Once I got my PC working it would idle at like 32c Then it Went into the 40's hmm i would say 44c Then Today I fell asleep i woke up and i forgot to shut it off before I went to sleep And I checked the CPU temp on Ghost monitor and it was 50c! is that normal or just to hot BTW i have 2 80mm Fans one on top one in back a northbridge fan and STOCK Cpu Cooling Well Should I upgrade to a Thermaltake Big typhoon? and some quality thermal paste? because ive been using a thermal pad.

    Thanks,

    Good read for you:

Personally, I am always concerned about all these extra top and side fans that I see people using. A typical layout (assuming your using cpu manufacturer suggested fans) is to have one fan in the front sucking in fresh air, one in rear blowing warm air that the front fan is pushing back out. This is optimal case flow and cooling. Keep in mind you probably also have a video card fan and a power supply fan. So, now picture this perfect airflow being distracted midway by fans blowing the hot air up through the top or side. What happens to all your hot cards, like video, sound, network, etc? They no longer have fresh air being blown to the rear, just 1 fan trying to blow out as cooling. It does not work.

Do you have a front fan? If not, get one. Then you could try and shut off one or both of the top fans and monitor temperature. This sounds like your problem, your sucking all this air up and out, but not bringing any fresh air in. I might shut off at least one for a test once you see the temps come down to see what happens, I think 2 fans up there draws too much air from reaching the rear of the case.

Also, have you checked your motherboard to see what rpm all fans are running at to be sure that they are running properly? Finally, for all those fans, you had better have a 400 watt or better power supply. Oh, forget that, just saw your specs, but ill leave that line there for others to be aware of.

Thermal paste is not relevant. Saw a test where they compared toothpaste to thermal paste and it worked as well as the "best" most expensive thermal paste, so that is not your issue, nor is any large brand name fans. Its a lack of incoming air.

    Hope that helps.
