According to these 2 attachments, Sygate firewall has identified a couple of application hijacks when I downloaded quicktime Apple version & musicmatch upgrade. I've always had these 2 applications & are fine but after my re-format of XP Pro, I noticed that in my Sygate applications list an application called Windows control panel or C:\Windows\system32\control panel.exe is BLOCKED. Why? Shouldn't this allication be allowed?

    Hi

Both of those alledged Hijacks are legitimate URLs and both are for updating QuickTime @ Apple and MusicMatch Software media player @ Musicmatch.

Likely Sygates Firewall has noted URLs with out HTTP://WWW. as being hijacks as I notice it also things the Majorgeeks forum is a Hijacker application?

Yes those should be allowed, may just mean you need to train manually Sygates firewall to some applications, many firewalls need some manual intervention to allow deny some applications.
