Is this lcd good?

Hi i haf finally decided to buy an lcd and after researching and i decided to purchase the

Samsung SyncMaster 740N 17" LCD

and i can only stay under 250

is this monitor overall good for playing games and watching movies (i no CRT are better but well im going for a lcd now )

yep thats good. especially the response time.

 

Not a big deal, But just an FYI, that one doesnt have DVI/Digital interface.
Probably no height adj either.

I have never used a BenQ but heard some good things about em

At Newegg there are several 17" of equal specs to the one you posted for less money, & bunch of 19"
Get a 19" you'll love it

I have a Samsung 930b 19" it's Sweet
Also got a 15" 151v it's Nice, not really a gamer model, about 3yr old, good as the day it was bought.
Samsung = Thumbs Up
