Is this malware or a hardware problem?

Screen keeps on going to black and then back again, especially with the use of the mouse, typing, changing screens, etc. Also, things are intermittently looking distorted.

I started doing the "run me first" thing and got as far as Spybot and Counterspy and quarantined everything but then started to wonder if it was a hardware thing?

Any help appreciated. I am a lowly medical transcriptionist who gets paid by production and I can't work at this point!! :cry

You need to finish the Read and Run steps and attach the requested logs for us to be able to help you with the problem....while it could be your video card or monitor..we can't know without making sure that it isn't a malware issue.

Thanks, I will be doing that. It definitely was a driver problem but I have a hunch there are some real meanies hiding in there just waiting to get me :(
