Is this the right RAM?

    Friends Dell Insperion 530s died and it needs a new motherboard and RAM.
    Motherboard.

    The ram should work fine,if you find out the motherboard model number you can go to the foxconn website and check the memory support list.

    There's no reason to get a direct dell replacement motherboard,they're over priced and basic when compared to the retail foxconn motherboards. Any small form factor "micro atx" motherboard in socket 775 should work just fine.

    Of course there's no reason to even get foxconn who make budget boards you could go for an msi.
