Doubt its any good for games, but I could be wrong. Over here it is unstable, and you are looking at a 1Mbps connection.

1mb is better then 24Kbs lol and the guy said it all depends on how good of a signal i get from the tower there cell phones get full signal here at my house because there tower is like 1-2miles away and clear sky between it and the house. If its any good i will get it Monday.

Are you talking about getting internet access for your phone or pc? Because as far as I know Verizon Wireless = cell phone service provider.

If your talking about Verizon High Speed Internet - I've had it (DSL) for a about a year and its ok along as it isnt stormy, then your connection is spotty at best.

When I retired and moved to Steamboat Springs, Colorado --- 5 years ago, now, all I could get was wireless to my house. I was able to play SOF2 with my clan at fairly reasonable FPS. It was not nearly as fast as the cable hookup I finally was able to get when cable made its way into the mountains.

Try it. You'll probably be able to get by with it.

    Good Luck.:cool

I have a couple buddies that use it here in the hills of Southern Illinois. His cell gets good signal but his EVDO isn't but a tiny bit faster than dialup...on a good day, maybe you might get the performance of a very bottom end DSL service. Like you said...it's all relative to your location cause when he came to see me in Chicago it was getting pretty impressive speeds.

If anything...Verizon supposedly prides themselves on their 30 day money back guarantees. I know with their cell phones if you don't like it and take it back within 30 days they will give you your money back and tear up the contract. So it might be worth a shot.
