"IS2008Unit has stopped working" error (???)

Vista Home Premium SP1 32bit on HP dv6753cl laptop - attached below is a shot of the error I get occasionally on this laptop. Additionally, I get the same error with the HP Quick Launch Buttons when the desktop loads after a reboot, but the buttons themselves still work, so I simply took the QLBs out of the msconfig menu, and all is good on the QLB front. So, the "IS2008Unit has stopped working" error is still there. It pops up occasionally, but only once per restart, since after the error comes up, the process ends. I have searched the PC for anything with "IS2008" and found nothing, and I Googled the error message and got nothing. I think the "IS" stands for "Internet Security", but again, there's nothing on the PC with "Internet Security" in it..... weird....

Hi dlb

Still iirc part of the QLB, funny as it seems, but the times I have heard this crop up it has been down to either the video driver, or making sure you have latest .Net version, so in this case .Net 3.5 SP1 would do.

So make sure the drivers are all current, especially the video.

Thanks - I got i figured out . . . it was indeed related to the QLB; reinstalling the QLB drivers fixed it.
