Issue That Is Costing Me Money

This is the same problem as in the malware forum, but after some looking into it, I'm almost certain that this is not a virus, but a networking issue.

What it is, is I apparently have what seems to be a connection refreshing every few seconds, essentially using up all my bandwidth. I uses up about 100MB's every 15 mins. I've gone through all the malware steps for removal and it's still done nothing, so I'm thinking, hoping, this is a networking issue. If I could get some help here, I'd be the happiest of campers because you'd be saving me a huge chunk of money per month.

Try to bypass your Router and connect a computer directly to the Modem.

 

My computer is directly connected :/

 

Let me rephrase this. My modem is a router. It's a modem with a built in router.

 

After doing another scan with an up to date SUPERAntiSpyware and getting 0 results, I decided to just not even bother. I'm just going to re-format my computer today and hopefully it fixes the issue.

 

You can run a netstat -b as administrator in cmd window to what program is pinging that IP along with netstat -f. Also, if you had your machine behind a router, instead of direct connection to the modem, which is leaving you wide open, it would stop all of this traffic. What firewall and anti-virus are you running?
