    Hi

the main one that stands out for this apart from malware is a incompatible or corrupt addin to the context menus

Try this and download ShellExView from HERE and disable one by one (may need to leave PC for a lenght of time it would normally have crashed with that error before disabling the next one) the non Microsoft ones and see if you still have a problem

    Hi

Non Microsoft ones shouldnt harm the boot process if they do something is really wrong with those app, remember anything from Microsoft do not disable.

Another thing you could try before the context menus is msconfig and the startup tab and disable everything then reboot, if ok then enable one item and reboot, if ok then go on to the next and reboot at each stage until you find a culprit if not then its like a context menu issue, or malware.

im thinking its on of the last 2 since i havnt alterd my startup in quite some time

as for menus ill do them right now and virus scan after menus is there a recommended amoung of time i should leave them disabled to see if they will cause a crash?

i never got to run the suggested program but the problem has ceased so either it was the way the system had loaded or it was the minor files my malware bytes picked up and i removed
