Issues with security certificates

Hello,

The folks at the Malware Removal forum referred me to you since no malware was found on my computer.

The system that is giving me problems is my husband's HP Compaq CQ61-313US laptop running Windows 7 Home (64 bit). When I start any of the three browsers, I am getting "unusual" error messages:

Firefox message is "Secure Connection Failed. Error Code: Sec_error_bad_signature".

IE message is "There is a problem with this website's security certificate."

Google Chrome message is "The site's security certificate is not trusted."

This occurs when I am logged in as a "regular" user (as my husband would be). If I log in as "administrator", all three browsers work properly. I have tried a system restore to an earlier date. No luck.

Hope you can help me.

 

After creating a new account, it appears that Firefox is the only browser which is operating normally. I cannot get into any email accounts (Gmail, Yahoo or Hotmail) and I cannot access my Ebay account in either Google Chrome or IE.

 

I am unfamiliar with "proxy"????????
