It buzzes, I don't know why. ugh!

First of all, I'm really sorry that I'm coming to you all with zero knowledge about what my problem is, but that's my problem. I don't know how to even begin trying to figure out what my problem is.

Anyway. Sometimes my computer buzzes. There isn't a consistent buzz pattern. it happens *sometimes.* I can't predict when. I can't say, "when I try to run this program my computer starts buzzing." nor can I say, "when I perform a certain action, it stops." I have no useful information for any of you at all. This bothers me.

Can anyone point me to a guide or a website or a program that will help me figure out what the hell is making that noise, so I can come back and make a help request that isn't base-ignorant? I appreciate it.

 

First option for you here is too open the case while it is on and check all of the Fans to make sure they are spinning.

 

Next time it occurs, just try moving your tower slightly. Or tilt it at an angle. Basically check if anything is causing noise due to vibrations from your components inside. Clips from your supports or a simple wire rubbing against inside of casing could cause a vibration that sounds like a buzz. Make sure nothing is in contact with the tower itself, like the side of a desk or subwoofer, or it could be that the tower is on a section of the ground that might be a little off.
