Oh, bloody hell - it's that time of the year already again!

 

Iam going to be setting up xmas decorations this next week and tree hopefully. Girlfriend still thinks Iam a little weird,and thinks that neighbors will see the lights and call me crazy.:-D

 

What, Christmas time again already??? And I have not even decided what I am going to get myself this year.

 

XMas songs? Way too soon!! That reminds me of snow and cold already. brrrrrr.

Mind you, a shopping channel here was already decorated with Xmas stuff.

I somehow don't like people who buy Xmas presents throughout the year and talking about looking forward to XMas when it's just August. Wishing your time away isn't it?

Loved being in Fla seeing the red ribbons on the palm trees in November looking like candy canes.

I think I am with LauraR as far as the Xmas tunes. Christmas day, or even Eve, great. The other 4 to 6 weeks before, I HATE Xmas! I hate Xmas music! Oh, wait, I am in retail, 'Can I help you hang yourself?' :-D

I did get my Christmas stocking stuffer present ordered. Nice shiny AR-15 lower receiver. $169 plus 10% tax in town, $69 plus shipping and FFL fees on the interweb. If I was not getting my really nice present in Feb, I would get 2 of them.

 

Shoot our lights stayed up all year. Lazy people we are LOL

 

yes! Getting closer. you know, growing up, you would NEVER seen Christmas decorations in the stores or anywhere until the day after Thanksgiving. I mean, you would literally be at the store the day before Thanksgiving, looked like it did in the summer...come black Friday, it was a wonderland of Christmas mess!

But now that it's November, I can almost handle seeing Christmas ads this far out. Mind you, last week before Hallowe'en I saw a Christmas ad that put me right off for just a moment.

But as far as music goes, Manheimm, I like, but they do not hold a candle to the TransSiberian Orchestra!

 

NOOOOOOOooooooo!!! not the xmas music!! that shouldn't even be played on xmas day. shouldn't even have been made. however last years xmas no.1 (uk) was epic :-D doubt it'll ever happen again, but rage against the machine, at xmas no. 1?

the bit of xmas that happened his weekend in our house... the cake baking :-D nomnomnom now just to add plenty of alcohol before christmas itself, and it should be a good one

 

The stores here are already been packed and now selling most christmas items(decorations, trees, you name it, candy). Still progressing towards the day to put a tree up with lights. Also we've got more people putting lights up and turning them on already for xmas. Porch decorations/lights flashing. Yet my gf still says no!:cry

 

I only like a few of the classics - Symphony version of "Drummer Boy and "What child is this?" . . . Crosby's "White Christmas" . . . that kinda thing.

Rest of the year I can do without it.

I can't believe it's almost Christmas already . . .

 

It's not! We just had Halloween... get back to me after Thanksgiving.

I love the Tull Christmas album, 'Stinky Joe from down the street, he fell right over his own two feet '; 'the christmas spirit is not what you drink'. I listen to it throughout the year, it helps put my attitude in a better place. Everyday is christmas, and every night thanksgiving. Nice to be this side of the daisies.
