Saw the sawbones yesterday, and he sucked 5 more vials of blood for testing (I'm starting to feel like I've been dating a vampire), poked and prodded... and found a fairly large solid mass just below my right ribs that shouldn't be there.

CAT Scan Friday, results likely early next week.

We are getting to that age G.T.

I've had a couple of those, I think. Had so many damn tests since I turned 40 it's hard to remember some of them. Think I had to drink some stuff over the span of an hour and they start an IV and run the test.

One thing I have learned having all these test, if it weren't for needles the medical community would be in trouble.

Good luck and results with the CAT scan my friend.

Well, I've been told often enough that I'm full of crap. Maybe it's just a large lump of that. ;)

Nice to see you, but I wish it was under a bit better circumstances. :(

Well, hopefully, like you said they can just remove whatever it is cleanly. I'm still knocked for six with the latest round of treatments myself.

Take it easy, and I'll be thinking about ya, and praying for you, my old friend.

The worst is could be is insignificant when compaired to the love you'll recieve just for being afraid. You're a fighter, and whatever it turns out to be you shall overcome. You have plenty of friends right here making sure you know that. :) Including me. :) Sned me your address again, I want to send you a card. ::hug::

You mean I've got to be afraid to be loved? I was just planning on staying pragmatic. ;)

I'll send you my addy, but you might want to wait until we know something. It might not be worth the price of a card. :D

Had a similar scare here recently, mine turned out to be nothing major, hopefully it'll be the same for you.
waitings the worst though...best of luck, and remember, almost anything can be survived these days if they find it in time.

Thanks all. Should get the photos back from Walmart Photo Center Monday or Tuesday. ;)

Cat Scan (CT Scan as they call it now) went fine, although I'm totally wasted. Should have come home & gone to bed afterwards instead of heading in to work. Ended up knocking off an hour early anyway.

Yes, as a matter of fact I do. :D

Actually, I don't mind getting older, or even the fact that I'll likely be dead before we get men on Mars, but feeling like crap sucks big time. ;)

Yeah, but it wasn't the chalky barium-based stuff I was expecting. This was a watery peach-colored liquid. Plus, of course, the iodine-based stuff they shoot into the veins.

Tell me about it. Since this mess started, I've donated 9 vials of blood and had 2 IVs inserted. I feel like a pincushion.

I guess. I still had to write a $500.00 check yesterday. CT Scans fall into the "annual deductible" category.
