It Still Works!

    My sister gave me a HP 6005 with Win 10 no activation. ( sorry for not being on the site in years) So I found a really old program called Microsoft Toolkit 2.6.2 and it activated perfectly. I thought Microsoft turn all of these activation programs off?

    I’m still running Microsoft Works 9.0 as well as Windows Live Mail on Windows 11. WLM no longer connects to my MS account but that’s no loss as I can use the inbuilt email app, MS 365 (Outlook) or my iPad’s email client for that one.

    Works was a great suite of apps, now that makes me thing of trying MS Money as loved that personal finance app,

    I've still got a copy of Bookshelf 98 installed on my Windows 11 machine, and I take it out every now and again for a road trip down Memory Lane.

    [Nope: something apparently broke in one of the last updates. Now I gotta fix it. Yay. :mad:]​

    Nope: one of my disc-burning apps set itself as the default to open .iso files. Simple fix. YAY! :D

    I found all my old copies of windows. Nostalgia. The XP packaging was my favorite. It still has the serial number in the package, and last time I borked my system I installed Windows XP and just let it upgrade back to current and was surprised that it worked.
