i was trying to get the itn news over the puter but cant seem to get it to play. something called 'greengrass' hosts it and im not sure if one has to pay to watch. is there a way of getting the english news? much aloha (ps. i would prefer independent to BBC)

Sadly looks like to watch ITV video news on-demand costs $£$£$, cannot think of many that will give you free video news, but one that does for UK news and an alternative to the BEEB is,

Actually its one of my favs over all the rest, video clips are quick and fairly good quality too look to the right side of the page and you will see Video click that for the video clips of the topics of today etc

It's "pay-to-view" unfortunately. You have to purchase credits to access it. http://www.theregister.co.uk/2005/09/21/greengrass_itn/

They, or similar, might do podcasts though?

thanks, linked to that and at least now i can get 'unsanitised' news from the rest of the world. depressing though, so dont know how often i will subject myself to it lol. you lot are just too cool BTW and i knew when i posted that you would come up with something for me. mahalo.
