It's all the Air Force's fault

I went and got my flight physical and you won't believe what they are making me do. They say I have to go see a doctor about my high triglycerides or I may get diabetes. Bah. They also say I have to get my cavities fixed.

All joking aside, I wish the Air Force would give some money to it's new recruits. I can understand not paying for my doctor and dentist visit, but I spend at least 200$ in gas, food and lodging to travel the Whiteman AFB. I also spent a good amount of gas to get to Kansas City, but at least they covered my stay at the Marriott, which I am grateful for. For anyone interested in joining the Air Force, keep in mind it will cost some money to get in and they take nearly forever.

Cheaper to go and buy the plane and then rent the bombs. :D

I'd say they did you a huge favor. Entering hyperglycaemic shock because you didn;t know you were at-risk while in command of any aircraft, or entering sudden high altitude and the effect on cavities from gas expansion is far more painful than any dental or medical appointment you are going to have and pay for as a result of their discovery. In fact, they just might have saved your life if you were unaware of these things previously :)

That's true, but don't they say, "Ignorance is bliss"?

Just because "they" say it doesn't mean they are right ;)

Only if you live in Matrix:-D I know your probably joking but I used to think of my health in the third person when I was younger, its the doctors problem not mine, now I have a healthy fear of death pun intended, maybe too much of a fear:-D

A few years ago I would have loved to join the army or air force but not now,for one I don't want to die:-D But mainly because I think both wars we engaged in at the moment can be won and the reasons for going to war in Iraq turned out to be lies.

One day my health will give out 'hopefully when I'm older' I'll leave the universe forever and I'll need to safe in the knowledge I haven't left this place worse than I found it,if the greatest thing I did in my life was to drop bombs on or strafe a load of people to death, well,I wouldn't be a happy chappy :-D

I have the upmost respect for the people that choose to do it though, even though Pride is illogical I can't help but have a great amount of pride in our armed forces over here.
