Itunes error message when burning

I have searched and searched for an answer to this and cannot find anything remotely useful. Everytime I try and burn a cd on itunes it starts to burn and then cancels it, giving me an 'unknown error message 4280' I have looked on the itunes help site but the only thing it says is to update your Sony driver. I dont have a Sony driver. I found the following 'fixes' and tried them all, but nothing works.

Update firmware...I have a Toshiba Satellite A135-S4656...looking at the Toshiba site, there is no firmware update for my particular model
Slow burning speeds
Use different brands of CDs
Completely uninstall Itunes and reinstall it...did it according to itunes site instructions...the only thing that changed is I was able to successfully burn one cd (memorex) and when I tried to burn another one I now have a different number 'unknown error message'...from 4450 to 4280

Thats all I've come up with so far. All the forums I've found for this problem are 2 or 3 years old. No one has any solution that doesnt involve updating a Sony driver? Can someone point me in a new direction?

Thanks theefool, but like I said...I dont have a Sony driver. This fix is for those with a Sony driver only.

 

Here is some diagnostic info:

Error Correction is turned on for importing audio CDs.
The last failed audio CD burn had error code 4280(0x000010b8). It happened on drive D: MATSHITA DVD-RAM UJ-850S on CDR media at speed 24X.

Again: It doesnt matter what speed I run this at or what brand of CD I use.
