i had all my music on the E drive and moved it to the F drive. In itunes i went to edit - prefs - advanced and changed the itunes media folder to the F drive. and now all my music has a ! near it and if i click on a song it says t cant find the song... how do i fix?

If you don't leave the external drives plugged into the same USB slots, then the drive letters will change the next time you plug them in.
Open My Computer and see what drive letter the external with your songs on it is now labeled; it could be a simple case of using a different drive letter.

As plodr suggests, maybe change the drive letter. ;)

I have changed my external drives to a permanent drive letter to overcome the problem of plugging/unplugging various external drives.
Using X, Y and/or Z as a guide, gets you well away from any other complications.

Microsoft have a link to How to change drive letter assignments in Windows XP, for example, at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/307844

Or do a Google Search on change drive letters for lots more links.

    Hope this helps.
