iTunes help needed...

i bought an ipod about a year ago. But my internet at home was down and i generally used my girlfriends....so i also used her itunes

Now I have the internet back at home and i decided to download my own itunes. But the music refuses to sync. I can only imagine this is for various itunes copyright reasons or whatever. but i am offically sick of having celine dion and westlife on my ipod.

is there anyway around this?

any help would be greatly appreciated...thanks
