Itunes/installshield Error

Hiya guys,

I have a slight feeling that my installshield is buggered.

When I try to install the latest itunes, I am greeted by the following (screenshot attached).

I am running XP SP2 and haven't had the same error with any other program. However, some exe programs have to be opened by clicking on 'run as' rather than 'open' - again suggesting that something is awry with my installshield.

Hugely appreciate your help. Something tells me this is a complex problem; I can only hope otherwise.

Is this the error? 1608: Unable to Create InstallDriver instance,
Return code: -2147024894.

Sorry about the screenshot, it's too late post one now, but here is a link to it hopefully.

The problem seems to be with 'command line paramaters'. I've googled the life out of it, but I sem to get lost in the technospeak!

Any ideas to this one people?
I'll appreciate any advice going.

 

According to apple it is a conflict with another programs service and apple plans to fix this in version 5.0.1.Many others were having this problem too.
