Itunes issue

hi,
please pardon my computer stupidity.i bought 2 cds on ITUNES today and found that i could not burn them to my burner on my laptop as usual.the message said no burner or software found? the burner works the driver is up to date i am at a loss as to what to do.i am sure i have probably deleted something i should not have that caused this but i cannot say what that might have been.anyway any expertise would be appreciated.thanks map47
