iTunes: recovering playlists

    G'day,

    I have upgraded computers several times and this last go have not managed to migrate my old playlists/mixes from my iTunes library. Library is copied, but when I try to import playlists I just get additional copies of songs without the actual playlist. It's maddening as I now need to clean out my library and still haven't accomplished my goal.

    In fact, I'm about ready to call it quits with iTunes.

    I'm running Mac OS 10.5.8 on an iMac 5,1.

    Any help is appreciated.
