I came across this post on http://www.testfreaks.com/blog/information/windows-7-service-pack-1-performance-analysis/ today.

Scroll down to find the quote.

My note: My spacing on the above.
Also I noticed on http://www.majorgeeks.com front page today, that a new version of iTunes has been listed today. Go to iTunes 10.2.1.1 at http://www.majorgeeks.com/iTunes_d5285.html for the latest release.

I am assuming that this release is to fix the problem with W7 SP1. It might pay to wait a couple of days for any reports of conflicts with this iTunes update and W7 SP1.

Is your version the very, very latest (as per the MG link in post #1?
If so, it looks the "bug" has been fixed. ;)

I only updated iTunes to the latest version after installing SP1 for Win7 on 3 PCs and all work fine with no sync issues in iTunes and with an iPhone and iPod Touch.
