Itunes wont open....has a error and must close. please help

    hows it going guys, i have a gateway with windows XP. i have a problem with my itunes, i click to open and the i get a box that says "iTunes has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."....there is a option to Click here...when i do it says.....

    Error signature-----
    AppName: itunes.exe AppVer: 9.1.1.12 ModName: itunes.dll
    ModVer: 9.1.1.12 Offset: 0044ffd0


    then it has a link to view technical info and i get this-----
    the fallowing files will be included in this error report...
    C:\DOCUME~1\Owner\LOCALS~1\Temp\b7f0_appcompat.txt

    so thats all the info i have at the moment.....please help....if any other info is need just let me know..

    Hi

    What Service Pack level is your XP at?


    I would uninstall iTunes and run CCleaner and its cleaner tool and Registry tool, run the registry one until nothing shows for removal, then re-install the latest iTunes from HERE

    Also try disabling your security apps and see if that resolves this, plus what security applications have you got installed, please name all?

    sorry for the late update, work has been crazy.....so now my itunes works, and when i get that message if i restart my computer it works after restart
