Itunes won't save my MP3

Hi, I'm new to this.
I have a few cd's that were made for me by a dj. The format is MP3, when I play them in Itunes they won't save?. I've also noticed that once I put the cd in and itunes comes up I'm not given the option to import the disc????. I've tried adding new files but they won't stay either once I remove the disc from the drive??? Please help....confused

 

Thanks for the reply. I insert the disc and the songs do show but they still won't stay once I drag into Itunes and eject the disc. I've made Itunes my default player.
