I've Been Infected..

On my laptop, I was recently infected by some malware, got the infamous "WARNING! Syware detecter on your computer" blue desktop background, that won't go away. In the past, I could at least change the background (of course it would change back when rebooted), but this spyware has totally removed the desktop options tabs from the display options in the control panel..There is no way to even change my background, screen saver, etc... So I downloaded and ran the SUPERAntiSpyware program, ran it once and removed a few things...nothing. Ran it immediately again, curiously found 5 more items, removed them..nothing again. Background still hijacked, can't change it..
This all happened when a popup for <snip>came up, and all the sudden my computer got bogged down, and wouldn't respond. I had to "end the program now" then all this blue warning background crap starting coming up. Also, every time it boots up, there is a warning stating "C:\Documents and Settings.......\Local Settings\Temp\,tt3.tmp.pubs" failed to load...assuming thats part of my problem..What should I do now? I ran hijackthis, but this forum says to not post hem?

I recently restored my computer about 1 month agao..It was a pain in the *** to track down all the drivers, so doing that again would not be very fun.
