    Hi

Try installing the Chipset driver first from HERE and reboot (dont miss out the reboot) then as you have XP Sp2 install the UAA driver from HERE and then the Audio from HERE and reboot and test audio.

Enter Drvice Manager and see if you have any yellow ! marks by any devices, if so what?

  3. Thanks halo for your reply..

Let me tell you first that I have the audio driver name and version I had before the install(I forgot to tell you before)

    Here it is.

    SoundMax integrated digital audio
    Driver analog devices version 5.12.1.3516

I tried the audio driver you linked me to ...once I downloaded it,I double clicked on it and it extracted a folder ...then I tried to run the setup but I got an error message saying something like''close all other programs,or check internet connections'' :cry

Then I tried it using device manager...I clicked the update ''driver button'' in multimedia controller device and chose the option ''don't search I will choose the driver to install''.

Once I had done that I give it the path to the folder with the downloaded audio driver ...and it seemed to be going fine until I got a message saying that windows could not save data on some file butthat the driver was installed and that I should reboot...so I did.

But no sound when it rebooted ...I checked the multimedia controller button on device manager and it said tha the device was not working and that windows could not load the driver files..??? but on the driver tab it said the driver was installed??

Then I uninstalled this device and installed the SoundMax driver in the same way and it gave me the same message ????:confused

I'll attach a few pics for you to see..

    Looking forward to your reply.
