Hello. I have been trying to have my computer be able to recognize Japanese language characters for a while now, but to no avail. I use Firefox, have added Japanese to languages, and have also set Japanese as default character encoding. In the control panel, I have downloaded and installed files for East Asian languages, and checked every Japanese related language in advanced mode of regional and language options. Is there something I'm missing?

Are you still prompted to install Japanese when you visit a Japanese website, or does it just display gibberish? Just curious :)

I ended up getting it fixed, and able to see Japanese on most sites. I still have troubles on gamefaqs.com. Some of the guides there have Japanese text, but those still show up as weird random symbols
