I just installed the Windows XP2 update last week, sense then my java aps do not work right in IE. The java window will come up and run to view java applelets, but for any java online word games, it blocks the chat window. It worked fine before with Windows XP1, but XP2 for some reason will not allow the chat window. I use the newest sun java out, but it just will not work with IE. Any help you can give will be appreciated. Thanks!

There should be an information bar at the top of IE.

Click on it and allow the blocked content.

You must also have the Sun JVM installed....

LOL I have the sun JVM, but for some reason IE will not allow me to use that chat screen. Must be just some strange glytch in my IE or something. I have allowed it and everything else I can think of, but it's still blocking the chat. Oh well, will use Mozillla Firefox for my jave, as at leasy that one works. Thanks for trying to help.

I finally found a way to fix that chat problem. After I made sure all the java was setup right on IE, I went to tools, internet options, security, trusted sites, and added the sites I use to the trusted zones. The easy way to do this is to cut and paste the site in the box and say add. Now there is a box that will pop up and say that the site has to have https// prefix to add, just uncheck the lil box that says ( Require server verifacation ) and it will add that to your trusted sites, then I rechecked that box. Then close IE and reopen the page, all the java on that site should now work properly. Just thought if anyone else was having this problem I should post to let you know there is an easy fix. Thanks!!! :)
