Okay, I've tried with AVG pro model to get rid of this critter. It's persistent and aggrivating. I've cleared the cache in Java, tried healing each infected file individually, and looked it up on the AVG encyclopedia with no luck. What's the trick with this virus? I'm sure I'm not the first with this junk.

Did you try it from safe mode, you cant remove files in use, a common reason why viruses can be pesky to remove. Someone may have more, but it is a good starting point.

Thanks, I'll give the safe boot a try. And I've looked at the web site given in the second message, and will try that as well. I'll let you know how it goes. As always it's great to have such good support here. Thanks again.
