The Java website says I don't have Java installed.

However, in FireFox add-ons it shows:
    Java Deployment Toolkit 7.0.90.5 10.9.2.5
NPRuntine Script Plug-in Library for Java Deploy

Should I disable this FF add-on?

    Thanks.

Uninstall any traces of Java from Control Panel/Add remove Programs then use something like Revo uninstaller to scan for leftovers and remove them too.

If they remain, disable them, that should be enough to render them ineffective. Then look for anything remaining that's tied into IE.

Re the new Java 'fix', does it? Some think not! IIRC, this 'fix' is the second one in ~6 months for the same thing!

I think there's a second (third) 'fix' due from Oracle in the next 24 hours or so ... best remove Java fully, it looks like they'll never catch up - most people really don't need it anyway.
