Java not working

I use Java to play online games and a while ago the game wasn't loading so I decided to try to uninstall Java but it didn't uninstall it went through the process showing that it was uninstalling but still after atleast 20 attempts Java 7 update 4 is still showing up under programs and features I just tried to install update 5 and it failed 3 times, I'm using windows vista and tried JavaRa to remove anything left but same thing happens any help would be much appreciated.

 

Download Microsoft Installer Cleanup and run in an admin account. Only select anything related to java from the list and press remove. See if you can now install.
