When I open Java in the Control Panel and go to the Advanced tab then click on the "Applets Tag Support", I find that IE is checked BUT Mozilla and Netscape are not, when I try to enable Mozilla and Netscape I get a message stating that these Browsers may not be installed properly OR that I do not have full permissions to change Browser settings, SHOULD they be checked and if so what am I missing ????? Have FF ver. 1.0.4 installed and Version 1.5.0 (build 1.5.0_01-b08) of Java. Everything DOES seem to be running fine !!! Thanks

That setting for Mozilla and Netscape does not apply to Firefox. In Firefox the place where Java is enabled/disabled is (in Windows) Tools -> Options -> Web Features (in Mac/Linux it's Edit -> Preferences). Since it's working it clearly is enabled. I keep Java disabled except when I need it on a site that I trust, it can carry viruses.
