Java update

    Hello -

    While searching Add/Remove Programs, I noticed that, unbeknownst to me, I apparently have Java J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update3 @ 143.00MB, Java SE Runtime Environment SE @ 136.00MB + Java SE Runtime Environment 6 Update 1 @159.00MB = 438.00MBs !!!!!!!

    (Do I have 2 separate Java programs running - 5.0 and 6?)

    Do I really need all this Java software?

    How can I/can I remove some of the above from the computer to free up some hard drive space?

    You only want the most recent version of Java on your computer. You should uninstall any past versions. Go to this thread http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=44525 and scroll down to the section about Java. I think you need to update your Java 6 to Java 6 update 2.
