JcwvoywA.exe - trojan.popper - nothing gets rid of it!! help!!

I have followed all the instructions in the "read and run me first" thread and still cant get rid of this nasty bug - note: it wouldnt let me install windows defender in safe mode.

I keep getting pop-ups and url shortcuts keep appearing on my desktop, plus it seems like every time I run a spyware scan there are new items not there before, so this virus is particularly nasty and is opening a doorway for other crud to get into my PC. The only program I have that detects it is Norton and it refuses to delete it or quarenteen it either because it is running or because it is in the windows folder. Anyone have any ideas?

Aparently it is called JcwvoywA.exe trojan.popper - and it is in the windows folder - although I cant find it even though I turned on "show hidden files".

I have attached my "hijack this" log in an attachment

any advice would be great, and thanks for your time.

Sorry but no you have not followed the steps in the READ & RUN ME. ALL steps must be followed. And you must also follow the directions in the steps too. HijackThis is not even installed correctly.

Please follow our standard cleaning procedures which are necessary for us to provide you support. Also there are steps included for installing, running, and posting HijackThis logs as attachments.

Run ALL the steps in this Sticky thread READ & RUN ME FIRST Before Asking for Support

Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.

Very Important: Make sure you tell us the results from running the tutorial...was anything found? Were you unable to complete any of the scans?...Were you unable to download any of the tools?...Did you do the on-line scans as suggested? etc.

After doing ALL of the above you still have a problem make sure you have booted to normal mode and run the steps in the below link to properly use HijackThis and attach a log:

When you return to make your next post, make sure you attach the following logs and that you have run these scans in the following order too (these scans are covered in steps 6 & 7 of the READ & RUN ME sticky)
