I recently installed Glarysoft utility in an effort to optimize my computer running Windows 10. Although it is easy to choose which apps to disable at startup, the real culprits seem to be the supporting processes that run in the background. I have been unsuccessful in finding an app that will choose what needs to run in the background and what does not. In researching I ran across JetBoost and Process Lasso. Process Lasso is the newest of the two with a June 15, 2021 date of the latest date version. JetBoost appears to be outdated issued in 2012. I woul appreciate any guidance as to other software that can make the decision of what support processes are needed an what are not. I use my computer at the office for word processing, google searches, social networking and that sort of thing. No gaming. Thanks!

I run Iobit software i have been using them since they started years ago.You might have to go in to services to disable some of the start up stuff. You have to look down both the list and see what is running and not running. That is normally the first thing i do when starting a fresh windows install.I see what is running in the back round auto start.

I would help a little more but my system is tuned for higher end stuff like gaming..Not really office work.

My windows 10 is heavily modded to use less resources.
