    Hi,

I've been trying to get JIT Debugger to work again. I had no evident problems with it until I installed a HP Deskjet 5610 All-In-One printer. The software for the printer s*cks big time and when I reboot, 1/2 the time I receive a message that states that I need to place the HP CD in my CD ROM Drive in order to install TrayApp and Document Viewer. I've done this at least 10 times. I contacted HP several times but their instructions didn't help. If I don't get the CD in my CD ROM Drive fast enough, I receive a message that's very long and it freezes my computer. The end of the message says:

This message, I believe, is the cause of all my problems but I don't know the cure.

Then it goes on to say:

I'm surmising that if I enable JIT debugging, I'll no longer have the TrayApp and DocumentViewer problems, but I don't know how to do what it says to do.

I searched through the Microsoft help pages and found this

Since I didn't have any idea what the above meant or how to do it, I tried to take the easy way out. I went into Tools -> Internet Options -> Advanced Tab -> uncheck "Disable Script Debugging." However, I keep getting messages on most of the pages that I open that ask me if I wanted to debug a script. I need to click on "Yes" a number of times for each page that causes me to receive the message and most of them end with "permission denied."

In several messages, a reference was made to my Host file. About a year ago, my Host file "disappeared" and it was replaced with Hoster. I don't rememeber the exact wording of the message but the jist of it was that my Host file isn't the original file and it wants the original file.

Can anyone translate the Chinese for me and tell me where I have to go in my pc, how I can get there, what setting needs to be changed, how it needs to be changed and what it needs to be changed to? The instructions seem more like programming than basic software settings and the instructions must be written for programmers.

    Denise

Maybe you can help me solve this problem first . . . I mentioned it in my original post:

How can I get the debugger to work automatically? Machine Debug Manager is set to Start/Automatic in Services but JIT Debugger is not included in Services.
