Last Thursday night I went to the Joe Bonamassa concert at the Palais in Melbourne.
It was fantastic. Joe had a very sparse and simple stage setup with drummer Tal Bergman, bass player Carmine Rojas and keyboard player Rick Mellick at either sides of the stage and him with his Marshall Amps and quad boxes in the centre. He started with an acoustic set and then out came the trademark Les Pauls. I sat enthralled
My son has been playing finger style acoustic and blues / rock electric guitar for over 10 years and his comment was "Gee he makes it all look so easy and he is singing at the same time....wow"
It was an awesome concert and I can't wait until he returns. Here is a pic of him on stage at the Palais.

Sadly I missed his Melbourne concert in 2011 but I sure won't be missing any more.....
