Joint operations demo

Is there a reason i cannot play deltaforce joint operations, this is my setup.

Amd Duron 1800 overclocked to 2.1Ghz.
Elite group K7S5A motherboard.
512Mb Sdram
Geforce4 420mx card.

 

im not sure about that video card. id check if it supports direct x 9 as well as is powerfull enough for that game. i tried the demo, its a demanding game.

 

When you say you can't play, do you mean the game doesn't run well at all? Or do you mean the game crashes while it's loading. Or does it not start up at all? Do you get any error messages? Have you upgraded to DirectX 9.0b?

 

the geforce4 should be able to handle joint ops at its lower settings....
also make sure before you try playing to do the online update, as there are a lot of bugs that needed squishing....also make sure that you have directx9.0b or c installed.
the geforce4 mx cards i do not believe handle the calls to all directx functions, but it should be playable...it was on my scrawny little intel 1.7 with only 256mb sdr ram, and the mx440 pci card...
(though i have slightly upgraded my comp since then)

the MX cards don't handle DX9 at all, IIRC... and their clock speeds are comparable to a GF3. Not very good gaming cards at all, IMO.

Make sure you have the most up to date nVidia drivers...sound drivers, network drivers, even, and have checked for patches.
