Josie had a baby

The newest addition to my growing family came this morning .

Mother is doing fine but father isnt.

Josie had only one this time and it is a boy kitten. Of all the places to have it she chose under the sofa where the hardware for the reclining parts are. He looks just like Capone ,the father.

One is unusual, but he'll be healthier for it.

Mama's nerves will be too.

I've had mama cats with 9 kittens, it can be REALLY funny, when they decide it is time to explore their new world.

 

How cute, like Kes looking at the thumbnail thought it was a mouse. Our wild outside kitty would have two or three at a time, don't think I've ever seen just one. Was that her first?

 

I thought it was a mouse too, I guess eye surgery doesn't help either, if anyone was considering it after that thumbnail...

Can't believe cats are that small at birth, but I guess they'd have to be!

 

Nice lil' baby boy, Ob. Yea, the thumbnail did look like a white rat, or something. :confused

 

Thats not the best picture I can take but time was a little limited as mother was watching very cautiously and wouldn't leave it for long. She twice took the kitten back when I tried to take picts ,finally had to get my daughter to hold the baby out of moms reach.

The pictures are fine, just at first glance without enlarging them can't really tell, maybe the tail.
Josie is a good mama looking after her baby.

 

The baby is now 4 days old.

He's growing fast, already. Good to see. Yeah, he does look a little more kitten-like now that his head has grown some .
